Garvit Sood

Since he was 4 years old, Garvit Sood has worn glasses. He was dealing with astigmatism, a common eye ailment that causes fuzzy vision. Garvit Sood endured check-ups for an entire year, which inspired our 9-year-old founder to use his coding abilities and experience to develop an app for eye care.

He was given the chance to demonstrate his abilities, he focused it to create something which will provide value to the mass public. Today, his creation is assisting individuals in rural and isolated locations in deciding if they should seek the advice of a doctor or ophthalmologist for a follow-up examination.

Visual Acuity Test

Visual Acuity Test is the measure of an eye’s ability to detect object shapes and details at a specific distance.

Ability

In this test, a person’s ability to identify black letters or numbers is tested

Tested

It functions similar to that of an eye chart at your optometrist

Identify

To identify any changes in vision, it's important to test in a regular manner.

Pinhole Test

It is a great approach to checking for untreated refractive problems and ocular media abnormalities.

How it Works

The pinhole is an eye shield with a number of tiny holes that let light rays pass through without being obstructed by optical issues with the eye.

If using the pinhole improves your vision, the blurry image is probably coming from the front of your eye (the cornea or the lens).

The retina or vitreous at the rear of the eye is most likely the problem if the pinhole test does not enhance vision.

How to use the Pinhole Test

Colour Vision Test

A colour vision test also known as the Ishihara test can detect inherited or acquired colour vision issues.
It evaluates the macular cone and optic nerve. In this colour vision test, the dots that make up the numbers are of a different colour than the dots around them.

Amsler grid

The central visual field of an individual is examined using the Amsler grid.
It serves as a diagnostic technique to help identify visual problems brought on by alterations to the retina, the optic nerve, and the visual route to the brain.
